Heartburn, which is caused from acid flowing back into the esophagus is known as the first symptom of acid reflux.  Acid reflux will happen when your digestion tube from throat to stomach is not strong enough to handle the acid from foods you eat and digest.

So what is the main cause of acid reflux?  The main cause of an acid reflux attack is when the lower section between stomach and esophagus gives up at sporatic times, blocking the entry of acid into the esophagus causing severe heartburn right in between the chest.

What’s the worst case for Acid Reflux?  If you don’t treat acid reflux the constant acid build up can deteriorate the inner lining of your espohagus, causing damage and pain possibly needing surgery!

With acid reflux you can get irrated even when lieing down to try and sleep, the acids just won’t seem to leave you alone.  Sleep on your left side tonight and you will notice you are less likely to have heartburn and acid reflux symptoms.

The bigger the meals the bigger the acid build up and acid reflux.  You will have immense acid reflux symptoms if you are just getting done with a hotdog eatting contest!  Keep your meals often but small and healthy to better avoid acid reflux.

Low amounts of water in your day keep the acid potent in your acid reflux causing immense pain if the acid were to sneak up into your esophagus area.  Drink plently of water throughout the day aim for 8 glasses or more of water and this will keep the acids in your body diluted reducing your heartburn
