From the medical side you might have understood that the acid reflux disease can be cured only with the help of drugs. This is not the fact actually. I was a victim of
severe acid reflux problem. I was an addict to a PPI drug
which is a "colored pill". After a continued use of it for several years my
condition gone still worse and I was told to double the dose. After that I began
to feel like no energy and tired. My eyesight got affected and also my blood
pressure went out of the charts. Soon I realized these are simply the side
effects of the drugs, which I have been using for many years. When I did a
research on this I could find a number of possible side effects such as
Headache, Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, severe constipation, big
abdomen, back pain, chest pain, anemia, allergy, hypertension, tachycardia,
goiter, tinnitus, facial edema, conjunctivitis, abnormal vision, great
depression, dizziness, hypertonia, nervousness, cystitis, insomnia, migraine,
anorexia, acne, dermatitis, glycosuria, hyperuricemia, hyponatremia, arthritis,
tongue edema, ulcerative stomatitis, impotence and some others.
No one needs tongue edema or to become impotent or to have constipation. Thanks
to god I could recognize and saw the symptoms of acid reflux drugs side
effects! I knew it is time for me to stop the drug! But when I
tried to avoid these drugs, the acid pumps, which were shut off for long went
wild and started to produce more acid than ever before. The sufferings were so
severe that I have never undergone in my life. Even water also gave me severe
indigestion. My doctor had advised to take the medicines again.
With this I made up my mind to somehow get out of this condition of drugs
side effects. I really have
no other choice as medical science apparently had no solution to such problems.
There fore I started my on investigation and wide researches on the subject and
could identify some interesting facts.
Acid reflux has created a big business field. The drug companies are benefited
because of this. Millions of Americans are suffering from acid reflux and many
more have symptoms leading to that condition. The main cause if this distress is
due to the splashing of fluids from stomach into the esophagus. These fluids
contain hydrochloric acid, pepsin and sometimes, liver bile too. These fluids
help in breaking down of food that we eat and thereby get it digested. The
hydrochloric acid in the stomach fluids function is to prevent harmful bacteria
getting multiplying in the stomach and intestines.
