I also apply MSM drops on my eyes too. It is surely have the power to reduce or prevent cataracts. It seems to dissolve them. My mother had cataracts of which one was removed by her ophthalmologist. Esophagus requires an endoscope. The doctor put a long mechanical tube down your
throat to observe the condition of esophagus and perform a biopsy. It is a very
painful procedure and if the results are negative the doctor will prescribe
medicines that have harmful side effects. Some medicines like cimetidine,
ranitidine and famotidine are H2 blockers. If medicines like omeprazole and
lansoprazole are given they are proton pump inhibitors.
A few side effects of these medicines are: headache, disturbance of the gut such
as constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting or pain in abdomen, gas, dry mouth,
skin reactions like rashes, itching, inflammation of the skin, dizziness,
muscles and joint pains, swelling of the legs and angles due to excess liquid
retention, pins and needles, depression, agitation, confusion, sleeping
difficulty, sleepiness, live or blood disorders and so on.
If these drugs do not cure him then he may have to undergo a surgical procedure
called fundoplication, which is process of removing the damaged part of the
esophagus affected with esophageal cancer and attaching the remaining section to the stomach.
In my case, I will search for experiments with natural cures for acid reflux. I
feel the medical procedures are much worst than the disease itself.

The proton pump inhibiters prescribed by doctors didn't work for me. Besides the
harmful side effects no one is aware of the long-term affect of then on our
body.
Since the conventional medicine didn't work for me, it forced me to explore some alternative means of healing. After a lot of researches and experimentation, I
could find natural ways, which finally could cure my acid reflux problem. MSM
