Fried fish, egg as omelette or scrambled can be consumed with restriction. Nugget style chicken or buffalo wings should be avoided and should not form part of an acid reflux diet.

Partially safe ones are berries, grapes, garlic, lean meat, yoghurt, non-alcoholic beer, wines, sodas, reduced fat cookies.

Safely enjoyable - Apples, bananas, broccoli, carrots, peas, green beans, chicken breast, fish, fat free or low fat cheese, whole grain bread, brown bread.

There are few medicines which when taken for other remedies may trigger the symptoms of acid reflux too. Some of them which may weaken the oesophageal muscles and cause acid reflux are birth control pills, antihistamines, pain killers, medicines for heart ailments and asthma. Medicines to treat acid reflux should be taken only after consulting a certified doctor and also should not be stopped abruptly before the prescribed doses finish even if you feel better as the symptoms may relapse.

Also please keep your doctor informed before you stop the medication even if they have subsided as it may result in a more serious condition which would require more intensive and inconvenient medication.
